Sunday in Sopelana

A few weeks ago, it was clear, blue, sunny day in Bilbao (getting all three in this neck of the woods is like finding Voldemort's horcruxes, seriously).

My friend Bryce and I had some serious ganas to go to the beach, so we took the metro to Sopelana, one of my favorite beaches in Bilbao.

It definitely wasn't sunbathing weather, but it was still warm enough to sit outside at the café and have a coffee, and stroll along the beach. It was relatively uncrowded, except for a 70-year old man who was taking a swim-sans wetsuit- in the icy water.

It was a great way to wind down from the weekend and prepare for the upcoming week.
