Uclés

For the last 2 weeks of this month, I've been living in a 16th century monastery. Pretty freaking sweet, if you ask me. Although there is the tiny, little detail that it may be haunted. Creepy paintings that will possess you if you look at them too long, priests that hung themselves in the sleeping quarters, and the ghost of a little girl that seems to show up from time to time, according to the kitchen staff.

Haunted or not, it's still a little unnerving to walk around in the dark late at night with nothing but a flashlight.

On the teaching side of it, I'm having a great time so far. The kids are nice, the teaching staff is great, and the food...well, let's just say we're not in the Pyrenees anymore. But I'm beginning to see more and more why everyone who works for the camp has a special place in their heart for this place.
