You're an All-Star!

Lip dubs are amazing. If you don't know what one is, it's when a group of people make a music video and lip-sync the lyrics. There have been a lot of universities and schools that have done them, and with hilarious results.

Here at camp, we thought that this might be a good project for English language learners to undertake. A good project, but challenging! First, we had to teach around 200 Spanish kids a song to learn in English. Keep in mind, the camp ranges from age 5-16. Then, we had to figure out the path for the camera, and which classes would do what part.

We ran through it about 6 or 7 times before actually taping it. Speaking of the final recording, you have one take to make sure everything is perfect. Since we had glitter cannons and other things that could only be used once, we had to make sure we had everything down cold.

All the teachers prepared their classes wonderfully, and Will and George were fantastic in planning all the small details and the camera coordination.

But the real kudos goes to the kids! They rocked it out, seriously! Most of them had the words memorized, were enthusiastic, and really got into it. It was great!
